Careers[lesson5]

For assignment 5 we were to choose 3 careers from any of the choices listed. The 3 i chose were photographer, graphic designer, and computer operator.

A photographer uses a variety of cameras that can accept lenses for close-up, medium-range, or distance photography. Then we can use computers manipulate the images to create a desired effect on the photo token. Important skills that you will need to be a photographer are reading comprehension, an active listening, speaking, critical thinking, active learning, learning strategies, and monitoring. Those are the most important skills needed. You may also apply skills such as writing, mathematics, and science as well in photography. In Georgia photographers get an average annual wage of $24,190 and an hourly wage of $11.63. The education you will need is high school and more. As well as some experiences.

A graphic designer designs art and copy layouts for material to be presented by magazines, newspapers, television, and packaging. Some may create graphics for television and computer-generated media. They use computer software to design new images or to modify existing ones. Important skills that are needed is the same required to be a photographer. However, for skills that you may apply are math and science. High school and graphics education should be taken. Their annual wage is around $47,800 and an hourly wage of $22.98.

A computer operator monitors and controls electronic computers to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. Skills that you will need are reading, writing, listening, speaking, math, a critical thinker, active learning, and monitoring skills. Science is also sometimes needed. They receive an annual wage of $34,110 and an hourly wage of $16.40. Like the other careers you need an high school education and you need some experience support services.

I would choose one of these because its what im interested in :]
